Den of Geek! posted a link of 111 movie sequels in the works. I skimmed the list for fairy tale related ones and found these:
Alice in Wonderland 2: This would be a sequel to Disney’s 2012 live action version. According to Den of Geek!, Linda Woolverton has been charged with writing a screenplay. I imagine, like the first movie, it would have little in common with Lewis Carroll’s book.
Chronicles of Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew Another new Chronicles of Narnia story with glorious scenery, great special effects, and less that desirable resemblance to the actual stories. This would be the first version of this particular book produced, however.
The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smog I’m sure you knew this already. It’s to be followed in 2014 by The Hobbit:There and Back Again. I believe this is what you call “making the most of a good thing.” But, if they are all as good as the first one is said is be (I, unfortunately, didn’t make it to the theater to see it), then why complain?
Also of note: Nemo 2, Despicable Me 2, and, I mention it here because it gave me quite a shock, Casablanca 2, are among the list of sequels in the works.
